A service designed to optimally manage long-term projects (Films and TV Series).
Each phase of the Near Set Lab follows a precise workflow, coordinating on-set production work with lab actions. This synchronization helps streamline post-production times and eliminates potential issues on set.
Specifically, it consists of four main steps:
DISK BACKUP
We provide preventive advice to choose the best backup media and workflow, ensuring security with multi-device solutions
TRANSCODING
After accurate color correction on the original files, the files are converted into another format based on the client’s needs. We are equipped with various machines capable of handling any type of format
UPLOAD
The transcoded files are sent daily to the post-production department, allowing for same-day editing of the footage, almost in real time, thanks to a backup cloud connection that allows us to reach upload speeds of up to 2 Gb/s
LTO ARCHIVING
Finally, large volumes of data are securely stored in compact spaces, ensuring long-term preservation of the footage (up to 30 years). We use software to catalog and access the offline archive, making it easy to find specific files without physical access to the tapes
